Thiago Silva
Senior Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure
Thiago Silva serves as Senior Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure at McMorgan & Company, where he is responsible for leading the firm’s infrastructure investment platform, including investment strategy, capital formation, and strategic partnerships.
Based in Toronto, Thiago has over 20 years of experience investing in infrastructure, private equity, and real assets across North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and select Asian markets. He brings deep expertise across direct investments, co-investments, and institutional partnerships. Prior to joining McMorgan, Thiago was Managing Director and Co-Head of Infrastructure at IG4 Capital. Prior to IG4, he spent more than 13 years at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where he held senior roles within the global infrastructure and natural resources investment teams. During his tenure, Thiago led investments and partnerships across Europe and the Americas and served on the boards of several portfolio companies, overseeing governance, capital allocation, and value creation initiatives. Earlier in his career, Thiago worked at Brookfield Asset Management, where he participated in global infrastructure and private equity transactions, including the formation of Brookfield Infrastructure Partners.
Thiago holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, completed the Board of Directors Executive Program at Rotman, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from FEI University in Brazil. He is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
